Why Do You Need a Blogging Guide?

If you want to make money online and you don’t have enough money to own a website, then you should start with a blog. Many have been earning a living with blog when it was introduced.

But with the high frequency of blogs setting up everyday, how can you be sure that you can make money with blog?

The first thing you need is to invest in a blogging guide.

Why do you need a guide you ask?

For starter, having a guide helps you to stay ahead of the competition. You gain an upper hand against the bloggers who refuse to invest in a guide. A lot of blogging newbie thought they can figure the business out on their own. But by the time they knew what is the right way to make money with blog, bloggers who invested in a guide might already be earning their money in sleep.

Some of you might argue that you can use a free guide instead of paying for it.

In my personal opinion, free guide often act as a teaser for back-end products. It is not to say that authors are cheating you with free guide. But the information about successful blogging found in free blogging guide is usually limited.

A proper blogging guide is going to show you how to build a successful blog. Building a blog is as sophisticated as building a website. Everything you choose is going to impact your readers.

To start off with that, a guide is going to tell you which platform you should choose for your blog. Then, it will analyze with you the advantages and disadvantages of hosting your blog or just get one for free.

Never think that you can just simply choose a template and start posting with it. You need to take into account of your readers to build a successful blog. Do you know that readers are more likely to click on advertisements on their right hand side than their left? A blogging guide will tell you more about the things that you need to pay attention to when you want to make money with blog.

After that, a proper blogging guide is going to let you know how to promote your blog. It will show you the ways to submit your blog to RSS feeds, directories, blogging communities and more. All of this is going to generate lots of traffic to your blog and help you to build a successful blog.

You Are Bound To Rise High With Contextual Link Building

Link popularity is one of the things that contribute to getting a website indexed by search engines. A search engine may even index a website it hasnever visited during link analysis due to its link popularity. This is why having in bound links to your website is important for a business trying to makeit big on the internet. With this knowledge in mind webmasters and programmers developed many different techniques of link building. Some of these were unethical andsought to cheat the search engines. With time however search engines have become far more sophisticated making link building a complex issue.Inorder to stay in the game and gain link popularity websites need to employ an ethical link building strategy. In this case contextual link building is aninvaluable alternative.Today you will find most of the good SEO companies to be recommending contextual link building as theprimary link building strategy. This is not to say that other link building strategies like article marketing and forum postings have been undone. Rather a truly successful campaign would incorporate all these different link building strategies but with particular emphasis on contextual linkbuilding. Why the Emphasis on Contextual Link Building? In a nutshell contextual link building is basically a form of third party advertising. Internet users seeking for the products and services that you haveto offer are passively directed towards your website. This happens by means of one way permanent inbound links that are placed within blog reviews. These blog reviews are published on major blogs andshopping sites where internet users read these blog reviews for the purpose of getting a third party perspective. Within the blog posts are anchortexts that have been hyperlinked. When a reader wants to know more about the topic being discussed in the blog posts he clicks on the anchor textto land up on your website. Hence we find that contextual link building will actually be promoting your company without actually ever mentioning itsname. This all too natural appearance of the links is what makes this technique a highly effective one. It takes a lot of effort to successfully compose thistechnique in order for it to appear naturally. This is where the services of a professional SEO company stand invaluable. Experience and expertise area must have in order to successfully employ contextual link building.A professional company will be able to help you at all levels with contextual link building. The process begins with researching into your competitor’skeyword phrases and selecting the most important keywords. Then the experts write high quality blog reviews on keyword topics that are relevant to the industry and up to date with the current trends. The SEO company maintains a complete network ofblogs that have a high search engine ranking and the expert written blog reviews are then posted up on these websites. A professional company willalso be able to evenly space out the release of these blog posts so as to reap maximum benefit while complimenting these efforts with other meansof contextual link building.

Getting The Best Out Of Contextual Link Building

Contextual link building is often touted as one of the best and most effective forms of SEO. However, you won’t get those benefits unless you use the technique properly. Many Internet marketers tend to make incomplete use of contextual link building, and so waste both money and hosting space. Here’s how to maximize what you’re getting out of your contextual link building campaign.Look for Popular BlogsGiven the way that Google calculates your page’s ranking, the benefits that you’ll get from contextual link building will be directly proportional to the rankings of the blogs that carry your articles. The more popular the blogs, the greater your rise up the rankings ladder will be.Quality-conscious contextual link building service providers have minimum standards – typically between PR10 and PR3 – for blogs that will host your links’ articles. That way, you’re assured of at least so much improvement with regard to your site’s rankings.Don’t Stick to Just OneWhile finding one good blog or article site is good, it’s far from sufficient if you want real and significant results. You’ll need at least a short list of blogs – yes, that’s plural – if you want your site to move up any noticeable amount. Limiting yourself to just one will require you to wait a very long time before you see anything happening. This is something that good contextual link building service providers know and try to address. A good provider would have at least a few blogs available for any niche, or a contingency plan in case it doesn’t have a certain niche covered. Some are affiliated with entire networks of blogs so that your links make it to as many places as possible quickly.Keep It InterestingEven if your link building service provider posts new articles everyday, it’s not going to work if all that content just talks about the same things. There’s nothing to motivate your readers to keep coming back to your site, and that minimizes the effectiveness of your link building efforts.Variety is the key here. Your provider has to make every post look unique and fresh so that readers have a reason to visit again and again. After all, if there’s something new to read everyday, then readers will be more likely to make return visits. And remember: the more people visit the sites that have your links, the likelier they’ll be to click those links.Find a Good ProviderIn order to be able to do the job properly, your contextual link building service provider must have all the groundwork already laid out. For example, the blogs must already have been contacted and set up for your links. Content must be prepared early on to ensure quality and variety.Even if they tend to be slightly more expensive than no-name providers, established and brand name providers are worth getting for contextual link building. Just remember that you’ll be incurring an extra expense because you’re paying for their contacts and their resources. After all, in the world of contextual link building, it’s the most popular and visible one that literally comes out on top.

Blogging for Internet Marketers: How to Create a Successful Blog

In today’s Internet Marketing environment having a Blog is not just a nice to have it’s becoming essential. More and more people are reading Blogs and they offer great opportunities to promote your products or services. In addition if your Blog becomes popular you can create a good passive income through the adverts that you carry.

As an Internet Marketer if you want to create a really successful blog, there are three main things that you need to concentrate on to get started. Many Internet Marketers make the mistake of thinking that building a successful blog is one of the easiest tasks out there and they couldn’t be more wrong! A successful Internet Marketer needs to do more than just set up a blog page to chat about their products. You need to focus on three essential building blocks in order to have a successful Internet Marketing blog. These three building blocks are not enough of themselves to make your Internet Marketing blog successful however they will give you a great start.

Look

The first building block for a successful Internet Marketing blog is The Look. What this means is that your blog should start with an appropriate style. A style which reflects the rest of your online business or at the very least conveys your professionalism. You can begin when you first start your blog. Many blogging software programmes will help you out with the style of your blog. If you are using a blogging programme that is aimed mainly at beginners, you will find that it will offer different templates for you to choose. There will be something for everyone. You can go through the templates to choose which colours you like best for the layout. Experiment with the layouts to see which templates look best on the computer screen and which most readily match the rest of your Internet Marketing sites. You have the option to go back and change the template later if you want to change the look of your Internet Marketing blog. Make sure that if you are creating your own Internet Marketing blog, without using a pre-created template that you make it look as professional as possible. You can even hire a professional to do the job for you if you wish. The more professional your blog looks, the more seriously your readers and potential customers will take your posts.

Content

The content of your Internet Marketing blog is the second key building block you will need for a successful blog. While you can choose to create posts that have no direction or purpose, you will find that when you post interesting commentary or short information filled articles that your traffic will increase. Although you may think it is interesting, most readers will not enjoy reading about your day to day Internet Marketing activities, unless you make them into humorous stories.

It should also be noted that the more content you have on your site, the more successful your site will be. It is basically a numbers game at this point. The more you post, the more chances you will have that one of your posts will attract the eye of someone searching for a related topic.

Advertisements

The third building block is advertising. Internet Marketing Bloggers can make a steady passive income using advertising on their blogs. The trick is to have a good mixture of ads and content however. If you fill your blog with ads and have no content for readers, they will be distracted and not visit your site again. A good rule to remember is that you should never have more than two or three ads per blog page. This is an important rule to remember. You should not overwhelm you readers with ads. You should only present them so that the readers can further explore them if they wish. Don’t use flashing ads or other bold ads that will annoy your readers. Choosing the right type of advertising program is part of it as well. In fact I would go as far as to say that the best way to advertise is by using Google’s Adsense Programme which will place ads relevant to your Internet Marketing activities—as long as you talk about them in your content! You have the option with Google Adsense to filter out your direct competitors which is an added bonus.

Dedication

The most important building block of a great Internet Marketing blog is dedication. You must be willing to be dedicated to your blog. You have to put in the time and energy to get positive results. Even with the other components in place, unless you take the time to update your posts on a regular basis, you will not be getting optimum results. Dedication can help a lot. It can mask the fact that you are a beginner and allow you to create a profit producing and functional Internet Marketing blog. No matter how little experience you have simple dedication can take you a long way and you are learning all the time whilst building up your Internet Marketing activity. You can have a great blog as long as you take the time to commit to your latest Internet Marketing project.

5 Proven Backlink Building Tactics For The Bloggers

Very often a blog is a sort of the side medium and the blog owner does not have enough time to build the required amount of backlinks. So it is very useful to know that the job can be automated.
This article tells about 5 backlink building techniques, which I have used successfully for my blog.
1.The Article Marketing.
It is easy to write articles if you are a blogger, the two jobs are so close to each other. The articles will bring a lot of backlinks rapidly, if the writer uses a mass distribution system to hundreds or thousands of websites and article directories.
These written articles must be optimized using effective keywords. This is cricial, because people will find the article using the same keywords than what the article writer has used.
The article writer, a blogger, has to remember that a mass distribution means a lot of dublicated content. This means that these widely distributed articles will not climb to the first places on the result pages of the search engines but will work effectively by bringing a lot of visitors and backlinks.
2.The Reciprocal Link Building
This is another effective way to get targeted visitors and links. The term reciprocal link means that your blog and another related blog both has a link pointing to each other. It is a sort of a co operation.
How you can get reciprocal links? Okay, first you can use a manual system and join some link exchange program or you can mail to a single blog owner and ask if he wants to change links. These both ways are relatively slow.
Then you can buy some software, which is a powerful way to build a lot of related links. However a blogger must be careful, because if the linklist will be too big, the search engines will see it as a sort of a link farm and punish the blog.
3. Take Your Blog To The Groups Of The Search Engines.
The biggest search engines have different groups and you can join some of them and get the blog url there. By writing some quality post you can get traffic to the blog and some backlinks.
4.The Blog Content Quality Is Still The King.
The most effective short and long term backlink builder is the quality content of the blog. This means that a blogger must take the blog seriously. It is not a diary but a business tool. When blog visitors like the content, they will bookmark the blog or even quote the posts, which both mean a good amount of backlinks, visitors and a nice image.
A blogger must never use his own articles as blog posts, because they are dublicate content.
5.Writing To The Forums.
The same topic forum posts work effectively in backlink building. Here also the quality works best. Every single post builds credibility and does the preselling work. When the blog url is in the sig file, every post build a backlink to the blog.
The posts can also be optimized, which makes it possible for the search engines to rank them on the result pages.

Link Building | Get More Backlinks for Better Search Engine Placement

Do you have a website, blog, squidoo lens or any other type of site? Are trying to make money through natural search engine positioning? If you are then you better learn how to get quality backlinks, and lots of them.
I build small niche websites, and then count on search engine traffic to sell products/services from my sites. To do this I have to do some keyword research to make sure it’s possible to dominate that term. I also have to do some great SEO tactics on my page.
More than that I have to build backlinks and tons of them. I do a variety of things to build backlinks, some are boring and tedious and some have been outsourced so I can focus my time on more profitable endeavors.
I know there are some basic ways to build links and I have been brainstorming some other ways as well. I think I have come up with some interesting ways to build some links, so I’m going to share them with you.
Free Link Building Ideas
Article Marketing ~ add your link with keyword anchor text in your resource box
Forum Posts ~ add your link with keyword anchor text in your sig file
Blog Comments ~ keyword in the “name” area, and then your url. (will create a hot link with anchor text)
Comments at Ezine Articles ~ this one just occurred to me recently. I checked the source code and they do not appear to use the “no follow” attribute, so google should count these links. You may even get traffic from these too. I just enter my main keyword, and add a relevant comment to the article. I use this like I would a blog comment with my keyword in the name area and then my url. You have to wait for EZA to approve your comment, but it’s worth it.
Set up Google Alert for keywords ~ each time I set up a new site I also set up a google alert for the keyword. I only choose to get alerts from blogs. Now each time someone posts a blog on my keyword I know about it and can get over there and add a comment.
Build free Blogs ~ Build a blog at wordpress.com, blogger, tumblr or wherever. You can do this blog on a related topic and add your site in the blogroll. This will give you a link for each page you publish on this blog. I use PLR for these blogs, and just change up the articles a little bit so they are more original. You can also add links within the articles to your blog for added links.
Hubpages and Squidoo ~ build pages at both of these free sites. Make sure to add a link to your site using keywords as your anchor text. At squidoo you can also add a link to your product or service you are promoting. Depending on how you want to use Hubpages I would be careful adding links to affiliate products over there. I just use hubpages as a way to get one more link from a quality source to my new niche site.
Myspace ~ set up a myspace profile and only add friends that are related to your niche site. You can quickly and easily do this with myspace friend adder software like Friend Blaster Pro. You can then use any/all the article you have written for your site and/or blogs as bulletins to send to your friends list or on your myspace blog. This will get you nice backlinks as well as targeted traffic.
Zimbio ~ this site is new to me. I have used it for my squidoo lenses, by adding my lensmaster RSS feed url from Squid Utils it will post each new lens I write on Zimbio. You can do this with the RSS feeds for each of your sites, including your main niche site, as well as any free blogs you set up. Make sure to do this first so it will catch all your articles as you put them up.
Directory Submission ~ there are tons of directories you can add your site url to. I set the timer for 30 minutes and just go as fast as I can submitting. I do this at least once a day for 30 minutes.
Wis.dm ~ A fun little site where you can ask a question. There is space for you to submit a url where people can find the answer. Just think of a question that relates to your niche and then add your site url in the space provided.
Twitter ~ not sure how good this is for backlinks, but if you have some people following you, it might be worth sending a quick tweet about your new site. You might just mention you found a cool site etc, so as not to give away all your niches :)
If you want to take things to the next level there are also service you can join to build links. They work a few different ways. You generally pay a monthly fee to join.
I keep remembering recently reading a comment that really stuck with me. It was said you should be spending 90% of your time building links. When I thought about how much time I was spending in this area it was probably about .5%. Stay focused, and set up a system for yourself and you too can build tons of great backlinks.

Get Your New Blog Noticed

This article is for those few brave souls, who have just initiated their journey into blogging, and need that amazing high one gets when your blog is finally getting read by a substantial number of readers.

Please track your blog readers using services like Google Analytics, it just takes 10 minutes, and it will provide you with a vault of valuable information on your reader’s preferences, where your readers come from, and how they interact with your blog.

For those of you thinking about right now “Hey, I like writing for the love of it, and I don’t need any readers for approval”, I would like to say kudos to you, and do continue the good work.

But if you are serious about sharing your hard work (its blood sweat and tears when you have to do it 5 times a week) with the millions of users searching blogs daily, then let’s continue our journey down the rabbit hole.

A quick look at the statistics on Blogging – comScore MediaMetrix (August 2008) ” Total internet audience 188.9 million ” Blogs: 77.7 million unique visitors in the US alone ” Facebook: 41.0 million ” MySpace 75.1 million

Well that the good news!

But the bad news is that with the thousands of new blogs churning out each day, what hope is there for a reader interested in your topic to reach you. You many have written brilliant masterpieces, but how do you let others know that (remember most poets and artists die poor and unrecognized because they don’t reach out to share themselves with others).

In this article, we will not get into details about the quality of your content, and its assumed you have written good clean copy. Good copy being informative, entertaining and engaging (Don’t forget to get your keywords in the body content as well the labels/tags).

There are various ways to promote your blog and reach out to the millions out there. The strategies below will not only assist you in getting more traffic to your blog, but also get you higher rankings for your blog, as well as corporate site (if you have one).

Deep-Linking

Start a corporate blog for your employees, customer, vendors, associates and investors. The benefits of doing so are many, as seen in the trend where many corporate blogs are doing very well in building brand loyalty, customer loyalty and driving business through existing customers.

Also start a topic specific blog of your expertise. To give you an example of this, a SEO Expert Services Company, can start a blog on SEO tips, advise and attract marketing professionals, seo students, Internet marketing professionals, readers and businessman.

Now comes the easy part; Create relevant deep links between your corporate website pages, corporate blog posts and topic blog posts. Your website, corporate blog and topic blog are treated as separate sites as far as search engines go, so don’t hesitate to use you’re your content for link building purposes.

Each blog post is a potential to build another link to your corporate website. But don’t overdo it. Search engines dont penalize a site for too many links (unless the site is just a whole bunch of links for the pure purposes of link farming, and trying to trick the search engines to give irrelevant results), but it could a big turn off for your readers who just want to enjoy the story and don’t care much about your hair brained strategies to dominate the internet.

Cross-Linking

It’s easy to create links when you are the master of your website and blogs, but how do we get other websites/ blogs to give the same quality links back to your blog.

As in the real world if you have to build a new contact, you would approach that person, introduce yourself, inform that person of the value you offer, and maintain a good relation with that person. In the blog world building links is no different.

1. Approach websites that has content/target audience similar to your blogs and offer some additional value to their readers, or even better write a good intelligent review about some service/products that website is offering. Send a nice email highlighting the same with a link back to your blog post. Online marketers like collecting testimonials so there is great probability that they will link back to your blog.

2. Approach other bloggers who command high loyalty. Most of the time if you have a professional approach, a good pitch and a value proposition, most bloggers will not mind writing a small review and linking to your blog.

After all these bloggers need to create content daily, so offer them a helping hand. Many bloggers advocate semi-advertising in their posts, and bloggers define their tastes, preferences, likes and dislikes about brands all the time. So why not get onto the bandwagon.

Another way is to leave intelligent comment on the bloggers post with something nice to say about the blogger, and then give a small link to your blog to explain in detail. Most times the blogger will leave a good comment and not delete it. I don’t personally use this method, but as they say, in this matter, flattery may get you what you want.

3. Some SEO experts and bloggers have good relations with other fellow bloggers. A good seo expert should be able to get some of these bloggers to write a good review and link to your blog/ website. It will drive traffic to your website and add to your link building campaign.

Create a RSS Feed

Most blog software’s like Blogger allow users to create an automatic RSS feed. If you notice a RSS feed is a very simple page, no major formatting, no pictures and videos.

RSS also knows as “Real Simple Syndication” is a mechanism used to distribute content without depending on the browser or email client. Users subscribe to RSS feeds to get latest updates (headlines with a small brief) about their favorite websites/ blogs across the internet in one place.

In your case, your blog posts form part of content that can be syndicated across news/content feeds. Once your RSS feed is published, you can submit the feed to many of the feed aggregators and have your content/ blog post distributed across their network of users. You can start by using this link http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-submission.htm to submit your blog to many feeds.

Submit to Article Sites

Article sites are a great way for distributing your content to many sites without the fear of landing into soup for duplicate content. In addition you are building credibility as an expert in your domain, quality links, and driving traffic to your blog.

By submitting your blog posts to article submission sites having high page rank, you are basically syndicating the same content across various channels, getting links, and traffic. Now that’s a good deal!

A note of warning, don’t just submit your article to 1000 sites, rather be wise and work with a few key article sites. In this way it’s easy to build a good relationship with those sites and their audiences, as they feel that you have not plastered your article across every living website in the world.

Also its easy to keep the momentum up, otherwise submitting each blog post to 1000 sites would be rather time consuming.

Go Social with your Blog

Social bookmarking is the next wave to hit the new media landscape. Millions of users surfing the internet now have a voice and can rate/bookmark and suggest websites, blogs and share their likes and dislikes with the billions of surfers.

Wikipedia describes social bookmarking as a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet with the help of metadata.

In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, and can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private domains. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or via a search engine.

Register your blog with services like digg, reddit, del.icio.us and stumbleupon. Give your readers an opportunity to suggest/ bookmark/tag your blog post across the social media landscape and watch the traffic come in.

Make a Noise

Hey you have worked hard to get your blog started. Now is the time to announce it to the world, atleast the online world. Submit your blog to blogger search engines like Technorati, and other blogging directories on the net. As you submit your blog to the various directories out there, your blog is reaching out to newer audiences.

You can also submit your blog to PR sites which allow companies to submit press releases and announcements. It may not do much for your rankings, but many journalists are known to scan press release sites for a good story. Could it be you?

You can also announce your blog by putting it on your visiting card, in your email footer, on your corporate website, Facebook (profile, posts on wall, comments etc), Youtube profile, Linkedin profile, and finally the good ol’ word of mouth.

These should keep you busy for the next few months, and by then you will be raring to get into more advanced techniques of marketing and promoting your Blog. But that my friend’s is another time, another story!

Getting Full Value Of Contextual Link Building

This has major benefits for the webmasters trying to employ link building for their website as the link juice drains from the blogs onto their website bringing with it a flow of steady targeted traffic as well. When it comes to gaining link popularity on the internet, PR is something of great value. Since these blogs have their own PR they can help further in promoting your website.Another key element of extracting full link building value from this unique method is to plan the release of blog reviews in such a manner that it seems natural to Google. This involves keeping a steady release of fresh content on blogs that are on different class C IPs. In this way Google will not be able to detect any similarities between the websites or any deliberate attempt of advertising by the website owner. An SEO company that knows its business will often mix up various link building strategies for the purpose of extracting full link building value. Article marketing is something that can work great alongside contextual links with which a number of directory submissions should also be made. All these tactics combined are 100% ethical white hat SEO moves that will in no way get your website penalized. On the contrary they will provide you with highly encouraging results giving your search rankings the much needed boost.

Conquer Your Niche Rankings With Contextual Link Building

Ask the SEO experts and they will tell you the only long lasting tactic for gaining link popularity is to employ a technique that gets you natural link building. One of the SEO tactics that gives you excellent natural link building opportunity is contextual link building.
